Brenda is the bride! She attended Reagan High School & reconnected with a boy she knew 40 years ago. She remembers that he was on the football team. He with his best friend Brad when he asked her out after breaking up with her best friend. She turned him down - because he had dated her best friend, but he best friend Brad asked her out, she said "yes" ..... and they ended up getting married! The 2 boys lost touch after high school. Brenda was recently widowed, and the first boy happend to be on a trip in town, read the obituary about his friend's death & showed up at the funeral. He himself had been widowed & lost his sister & mother. He gave Brenda his number if she needed someone to talk to. Her pastor gave her books on grieving & she joined a support group Healing Friends. Her pastor encouraged her to connect with other people who had experienced loss, so after 3 months she decided to reach out to him. They began taking, then they had dinner & now, 40 plus years later they're getting married!!! We're so happy for them!!! What a love story!!!
